A Brief Synopsis...

I've been really slacking on the frequency of entries of late.  Sorry about that.  I really enjoy writing, so I don't know why I haven't been getting around to posting much.  I feel like I've really had a lot going on, but not necessarily the kind of stuff that is interesting enough to warrant its own blog entry.  So here is one entry dedicated to all the mundane details of my life you might have missed:
I had another welding class today.  Tons o' Fun!!!  We spent a few minutes watching a video of the art our teacher does.  He does a lot of movable sculpture out of a type of corrugated plastic.  I had no idea he was a Muppeteer!  Super talented!  (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6GqB7eFtuw&feature=channel_page)   Then we got to see how to forge, which gave me a fun twisted-metal effect to add to my bench!  I ended up burning my hand through my glove at one point, but it happens.  No biggie.  Hurts a bit, though.  But I'm stubborn enough that after keeping my hand under running water for about ten minutes and deciding that it was in my hand skin's best interest if I avoided exposing it to further heat for the day-- well, I couldn't let a little red hot metal beat me now, could I?  So I got a couple more pieces twisted right before class ended just so I could say I didn't wuss out.  I got right back on that molten horse.  Next week:  twist up the last few pieces and weld it all together!  Fantastic!
Baby Duck had VBS this week (Vacation Bible School).  She had a lot of fun and has been asking lots of theological questions.  Gotta love it!  My faith is very meaningful to me, so I love getting to share it with one of my daughters on the simplest of terms... because I believe that faith itself is simple.  It's all the rest that seems to get so complicated!
Ladybug has taken up "Shhhush"ing people.  It's very funny.  Unless you're the one trying to talk.  Then it's a bit like being Scott Evil (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlv7Bp-L2MM).
E is waiting for me to come rub his head.  Love that man.
