I Already Wrote About The Neighbors...

But, literally as my 'New Entry' page was loading-- beepbeep, beepbeep.  This time it was the husband's car and the wife's car is already gone.  I don't think she's allowed to drive his car, so maybe I need to revise their back story to include a physical tic on his part that causes him to accidentally smack his horn repeatedly.  Then she would have just picked up the habit while trying to 'blend in with the locals'...

See, they've got me trapped!  I can't even stay on track to write my blog!  I had kind of an idea of what I was going to write about and now it's gone because my brain became immersed in their new story!  Actually, it's not just them.  My stepdad loaned me a book a few weeks ago, and darn him if it wasn't the first in a trilogy!  Luckily it's a few years old so I was able to head over to the library down the street to pick up the second one rather than wait for it to be published.  There are advantages to being a parent of young children:  It causes one to be so far behind on all that is cool that one never has to actually anticipate something's arrival.  Unless, of course, it is the arrival of some form of children's entertainment.  But that's a whole different story.
Back to the book thing:  I even called my mom to find out if my stepdad had the third book in the trilogy while I was on my way home from picking up book two at the library.  You see, I actually didn't have a chance to pick up the book I've had for a few weeks until Sunday night.  I finished it by mid-afternoon Monday and am halfway through the second one now.  I will have finished it before I go to sleep tonight.  My mom watches my girls on Wednesdays, so I will be over there on the right day to pick up the aforementioned third book if he does indeed possess it.  I assume he likely has all three, but the library is much closer when you want to read a book right this second.  I actually was in shock that our very small local library carried the book I was looking for.. especially when I found it on the shelf alone (as in without books one and three).  As it is of the odd Christian/semi-SciFi/fantasy genre, I find it more likely that they only have the one book than to have the other two books currently loaned out.  Hmm...  so apparently God allows--and even aids in-- my compulsive tendencies.  He provided the one obscure book I wanted in the itty-bitty library with half a dozen empty bookshelves (I actually think the children's section may possibly contain more books than the whole rest of the library).
But, anyway, since I have laid out my plan for you now, it is obvious why I haven't written in a few days... and why I'm done writing now.  I've got a book to finish.
